Mike BolsoverManaging Director and CEO
Mike is a co-founder of Silver Heritage. Mike was born in Hong Kong, and educated in England and the United States. Mike has an in-depth understanding of Asian gaming operations and previously worked for online gaming operator Victor Chandler in the trading and business development departments from 1999 to 2003. Mike became an executive director of Silver Heritage in 2005 and was appointed CEO in 2008. In 2015 Mike was voted one of Asia’s Top 50 most influential people in the Asian gaming industry (Asian Gaming Magazine). Mike is also a member of the 2016 Class of 40 under 40 (Global Gaming Business), and received a G2E Emerging Leader Scholarship in conjunction with Innovation Group. Mike holds a degree in Finance and Marketing from Emory University in Atlanta GA, USA.
Basil JongChief Financial Officer
Basil’s last role was the CFO of the Brisbane Racing Club, which owns and operates two racecourses and has diversified revenue streams, including from Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs). During his tenure, Basil was involved in the finance aspects of various multi-million dollar projects, including the acquisition of a sports club with EGMs. Prior to Brisbane Racing Club, Basil was the CFO of a very successful leading leagues club in Sydney which operated 474 EGMs. Basil’s Casino Resort experience, in various capacities including as CFO, was with the 4.5 star Lasseters Hotel Casino and Convention Centre in Alice Springs (205 rooms, 330 EGMs and 26 Live Gaming Tables), previously the Wharf Casino in Queenstown, the 5 star Cypress Lakes Resort and Golf Club and the Golden Door Health Retreat in the Hunter Valley as well as previously the Holiday Inn on Flinders. Basil is a Fellow of CPA Australia as well as CA of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Paul SimmonsSenior Vice President, Casino Operations
Paul has 40 years of gaming industry experience encompassing many facets of the industry, from table games and slot operations to VIP junket and player development programs to hotel and food and beverage management. Previous senior management positions include Burswood International Resort (Australia), Galaxy Star World (Macau) and NagaWorld (Cambodia). Paul is currently in charge of all of Silver Heritage’s casino operations in Vietnam, Nepal, Laos, and Cambodia.
Dewet OosthuizenSenior Manager, Operations (Vietnam)
Dewet has over 17 years of gaming industry experience across all areas of operation and at management level. Previous senior management positions include Shift Manager at Savan Vegas (Laos), and Operations Manager at Royal International Resort and Casino (Vietnam). Dewet is currently in charge of Silver Heritage’s casino operation in Vietnam, reporting to Silver Heritage’s Senior Vice-President, Casino Operations.
Tim NguyenDirector of SHLV, Marketing & VIP Services
Tim Nguyen is director of SHLV, Marketing & VIP Services. Tim is a highly experienced Vietnamese gaming executive with a wealth of knowledge earned from casinos in both Vietnam and Cambodia. He speaks Vietnamese, Mandarin and English fluently. He plays a key role working with local partners and suppliers to ensure the Group’s hospitality services are of the highest standards.
Andrew DennisVice-President, Business Development and Marketing
Andy was born and educated in the UK and has lived and worked in South-East-Asia since 1996. He joined Silver Heritage in 2007 to develop its business in Laos and has since been key to the establishment and development of the business in each country in which the Group operates. Andy brings a wide range of skills to the Group and is now jointly responsible for developing Silver Heritage’s new projects in Nepal and Vietnam from conception to operation.
Peter StubleyVice-President, Gaming and Information Technology
Peter joined Silver Heritage in 2003, initially as technical manager, and is now in charge of all the assets from pre-purchase, shipping, installation, maintenance, upgrading to eventual disposal. He is a control systems engineer, and has worked on large infrastructure projects including railways and airports. Peter was responsible for the construction and fit-out of Silver Heritage’s technical facility in the Philippines used for employment and training of technicians, and the development and integration of products for the company’s Asian gaming machine estate. Peter is now responsible for operations at this technical facility.
Steven BaramLegal Counsel
Steven holds a law and economics degree from the University of Leicester in the UK. He was admitted as a solicitor in the High Court of Hong Kong in 2010. Prior to joining Silver Heritage, Steven was an associate at Sidley Austin in Hong Kong. As Group Legal Counsel, Steven advises on legal and regulatory topics across a full range of transactions, including governance of local and international legal entities.
Based in the luxurious Shangri La Hotel & Resort in Kathmandu’s affluent embassy district, Nepal’s first international class casino opened in early 2015.
Silver Heritage is currently developing its first luxury casino resort in southern Nepal, aimed at serving one of the largest untapped gaming market in the world: India.
Silver Heritage manages and operates the Phoenix International Club near Hanoi, which is one of only seven licenced casinos in Vietnam.
