Mike BolsoverManaging Director and CEO
Mike is a co-founder of Silver Heritage. Mike was born in Hong Kong, and educated in England and the United States. Mike has an in-depth understanding of Asian gaming operations and previously worked for online gaming operator Victor Chandler in the trading and business development departments from 1999 to 2003. Mike became an executive director of Silver Heritage in 2005 and was appointed CEO in 2008. In 2015 Mike was voted one of Asia’s Top 50 most influential people in the Asian gaming industry (Asian Gaming Magazine). Mike is also a member of the 2016 Class of 40 under 40 (Global Gaming Business), and received a G2E Emerging Leader Scholarship in conjunction with Innovation Group. Mike holds a degree in Finance and Marketing from Emory University in Atlanta GA, USA.
Basil JongHead of Operational Finance
Basil’s last role was the CFO of the Brisbane Racing Club, which owns and operates two racecourses and has diversified revenue streams, including from Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs). During his tenure, Basil was involved in the finance aspects of various multi-million dollar projects, including the acquisition of a sports club with EGMs. Prior to Brisbane Racing Club, Basil was the CFO of a very successful leading leagues club in Sydney which operated 474 EGMs. Basil’s Casino Resort experience, in various capacities including as CFO, was with the 4.5 star Lasseters Hotel Casino and Convention Centre in Alice Springs (205 rooms, 330 EGMs and 26 Live Gaming Tables), previously the Wharf Casino in Queenstown, the 5 star Cypress Lakes Resort and Golf Club and the Golden Door Health Retreat in the Hunter Valley as well as previously the Holiday Inn on Flinders. Basil is a Fellow of CPA Australia as well as CA of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Paul SimmonsSenior Vice President, Casino Operations
Paul has 40 years of gaming industry experience encompassing many facets of the industry, from table games and slot operations to VIP junket and player development programs to hotel and food and beverage management. Previous senior management positions include Burswood International Resort (Australia), Galaxy Star World (Macau) and NagaWorld (Cambodia). Paul is currently in charge of all of Silver Heritage’s casino operations in Vietnam, Nepal, Laos, and Cambodia.
Tim NguyenDirector of SHLV, Marketing & VIP Services
Tim Nguyen is director of SHLV, Marketing & VIP Services. Tim is a highly experienced Vietnamese gaming executive with a wealth of knowledge earned from casinos in both Vietnam and Cambodia. He speaks Vietnamese, Mandarin and English fluently. He plays a key role working with local partners and suppliers to ensure the Group’s hospitality services are of the highest standards.
Brett ModelGeneral Manager, Tiger Palace Resort
Brett has an extensive work experience spanning over 16 years across different parts of the world. He has been associated with various prominent global hospitality brands and independent properties. His broad geographic experience spans mainly in China followed by Bhutan, Vietnam and United States of America. Brett’s hospitality career started after being selected as the first candidate of the Management Associate Program at Wynn Macau. His work then took him to the Kingdom of Bhutan with Amankora, to the burgeoning resort island of Hainan in the South China Sea at Sheraton Sanya, to the exotic beaches of Vietnam with MGM Grand Ho Tram Beach Resort and then back to China as the Resort Manager at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain. Prior to joining Tiger Palace Resort, he worked in the USA as the Director of Hotel Operations at Golden Nugget Lake Charles resort. In his current role, Brett is heading the complete operations and management of the 102-room, 5-star integrated entertainment resort, Tiger Palace Resort in Nepal’s emerging destination, Bhairahawa. With a childhood passion of working in China, Brett immersed himself in the culture and language by studying Mandarin at the esteemed Tsinghua University after completing his B.A. East Asian Studies from George Washington University.
Jeremy GillGeneral Counsel
Jeremy has over 8 years post qualification experience as a lawyer, being admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales and the British Virgin Islands. Jeremy previously worked in private practice within the APAC region, specializing in litigation and dispute resolution in addition to regulatory and employment matters. Prior to joining Silver Heritage, Jeremy worked for a leading international offshore law firm within its litigation and insolvency department, advising and acting for public listed and private companies, high net worth individuals and insolvency practitioners. He was born and educated in Hong Kong and attended University in the UK before studying at the University of Hong Kong where he completed his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL). In his role as General Counsel, Jeremy is responsible for all legal and compliance matters relating to the Group, its operations and various subsidiaries.
Ben WatiwatChief Financial Officer
Ben joins Silver Heritage from SafetyCulture, an Australian venture-backed software company where he held the position of Head of Finance and Company Secretary. While there he led finance, legal, facilities and compliance responsibilities across its global operations. Prior to SafetyCulture, Ben held senior positions at Vocus Group, most recently as Head of Group Finance, with responsibilities across treasury, tax, M&A, capital management and external reporting. Ben is a qualified Chartered Accountant, having commenced his career at Deloitte and brings extensive experience across corporate finance, accounting, and technology.
